The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines-Claveria (USTP-Claveria) submits itself to the scrutiny of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) this September 25 to 27, 2017 for the accreditation of its three programs, namely: Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA), Level III Phase I, Master of Science in Agriculture (MSA), Level II and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering (BSEnE), Level III Phase I Revisit Area V & VI.
Seven accreditors coming from different universities and colleges in Region 9, CARAGA and Region 12 came together to conduct the said survey visit.
Prior to the start of the opening program, the USTP band played songs to entertain the faculty and staff as well as the students. As the program started they were welcomed by the Senior High School students with a variety of festival dances.
The program formally started with Dr. Rosalito A. Quirino, University Chancellor as he delivered his words of welcome. “We are in another milestone of the history of this institution. We are once more submitting ourselves to external audit so that the quality of education we are offering will be validated. So that at the end of the day what we are saying is true and authentic because people from outside have attested to the kind of quality we are offering,” Dr Quirino stated. He also expressed gratitude to have Dr. Ricardo E. Rotoras coming to the accreditation activity of the university.
The team of accreditors was spearheaded by Dr. Lina T. Codilla from JH Cerilles State College as the coordinator and team leader of the BSA program. The team leader of the MSA program is Dr Soriel E Pamosongan.
Dr. Codilla then read the area assignments of each accreditor. With her heart-warming words, she advised the local task force to “relax” for the accreditors are angels coming to serve and help.
